Honey Beauty Tips

The following honey beauty tips are very simple and easy and can be done in the comfort of your own home. Now there’s no need to wait for professionals or spend hundreds of dollars to get that youthful glowing look on your face anymore 🙂

Facial mask

Not only does this facial mask help to clean pores, remove impurities and give a radiant glow to your face, it’s fun to use too!

Try this facial mask beauty recipe using honey and do it once a week to get that fresh, glowing look.

Wash your face with lukewarm water and pat it dry with a clean towel. Dip your fingertips into honey and apply it on your face and neck (the same way you put on the facial foundation or moisturizer).

Gently rub it against your skin and wait for 5 minutes. After 10-15 minutes, rinse it off with lukewarm water and leave your face to dry naturally.

You can do this using raw honey to get best results.

Facial Scrub

Honey facial scrub – another wonderful beauty tip using honey!

Grind 2 tablespoons of almonds and add 1 tablespoon of honey. Add freshly squeezed juice from half an orange and mix the ingredients well. Gently, scrub the mixture on your face and rinse with warm water.

If you still have some unused portion, don’t throw it away because the mixture can last for up to a week if kept in the refrigerator.

Acne solution

You know that urge to scrub off the first signs of acne every time they appear on your face? Well, don’t. Try out this honey acne solution for a change and you’ll be surprised how effective it is.

Put 1 tablespoon of honey into 1/2 liter of sterilized water. Add freshly squeezed juice of one lemon into the water. Wash the area affected with acne with it twice daily.

Honey-Milk Bath

This particular honey beauty tip is one of Cleopatra’s most precious beauty secret. Relax with the pleasant fragrance of this easy-to-prepare honey bath, and get wonderful soft, smooth and silky skin. Simply add a handful of powdered milk and 1/4 cup of honey to your bath water, mix it well, and enjoy yourself! This bath also helps relieve tiredness and sleeplessness.

Hair Conditioner/Moisturizer

Mix half a cup of honey and 1/4 cup of olive oil (you can also add a few drops of essential lavender and rosemary oils if you want). Massage the mixture completely through your hair, starting from scalp to hair ends.

Cover your head with a shower cap to keep it from dripping. Leave it on for around half an hour and then rinse it off.

To make a leave-it-on moisturizer, wash your hair with shampoo first. Then dissolve 1 teaspoon of honey into 4 cups of water and put the mixture on your hair. Dry it as usual.

Honey wrap

The honey wrap can be done before a massage session or simply as a regular home-spa treatment.

To do this treatment, clean your hands or feet by soaking them in warm water. While they are still moist, pour 2 tablespoons of warm honey onto your palms and apply it to your hands or feet. Then, wrap your hands or feet in plastic bags. (You can ask somebody to do this for you, I know it’s not very easy to wrap your own hands with plastic bags!)

After approximately 10 minutes, remove the covering and clean them with warm water. Dry your hands or feet.

Honey-Milk Body Lotion

Mix 1/4 cup of milk or cream with 1/4 cup of honey. Warm the mixture until the honey melts. Leave it to cool off and apply it to your body. Leave it on the skin for approximately 15 minutes and wash it with lukewarm water.

You can also make this mixture in large quantities and keep the unused portion in the refrigerator for up to a week.

So ladies, try these honey beauty tips and enjoy the sweet spa-pampering and indulgence in your own home. It’s time for you to get that beauty treatment, the natural way 🙂
