What Is The Advantage To The Liver Using Honey Versus Sugar?
by Jeram
QUESTION: I have heard around that honey can substitute sugar as sweetener. Why liver is not damaged when one uses honey? What advantage to the liver give use of honey instead of sugar?
ANSWER: Hi Jeram,
Although honey and sugar are both sweet, they have different impact on liver. So, if you use more sugar than honey, then, your liver will be overloaded, as it will deposit this excess sugar as fat. Therefore, it will become fatty, and many other health problems will occur.
The picture is quite different if you use honey, because it contains those components that can protect the liver and enhance its work. Furthermore, honey does the contrary, it reduces the fat in liver, helping cirrhotic liver rejuvenate.
Note: Although healthy enough, please eat honey in moderation. Everything comes in balance in our life. The same balance applies for honey; otherwise, if eaten in excessiveness, it will cause inutile problems.
